Trauma Therapy Intensives

EMDR & Somatic Experiencing Intensives in Little Rock and Online in Arkansas

Get into something important. Have the time to see it through.

Is weekly CBT not cutting it?

Maybe you’ve been in weekly therapy, but it’s only been scratching the surface- sometimes of stuff you already know, like ‘I know it isn’t rational, but it still feels like there’s something wrong with me.’

When you have all the logic of why you should or shouldn’t feel a certain way but can’t seem to budge on letting the thought & feeling go, it might be time to try something different.

Maybe you know you want to finally deal with a memory that keeps disrupting your life but you don’t have time for weekly therapy sessions.

EMDR & Somatic Experiencing intensives may be your next step.

Trauma intensives can help you zero in on a problem that’s kept you stuck, and finally work through it.

Traditional weekly therapy is great, but it often doesn’t leave enough time to process the day-to-day problems that you run into between sessions, and dig into and work through the deeper things that keep you stuck. Intensives are a way to intentionally take a longer block of time to work through a problem.

First, we identify which subject you’d like to tackle. An assault from ten years ago that makes intimacy difficult? A car accident from a few months ago that left you feeling like you *can*not* drive on the interstate? A persistent nagging feeling that there’s something wrong with you?

Then, we dive in and help you work through the different feelings, memories, or beliefs that tie into the negative experience.

Let’s finally make some progress in helping you really feel relieved of the overwhelming feelings that hold you back from living your life to the fullest.

Step 1: The Pre-Intensive Session

During the pre-intensive session, we’ll talk about various details of your background, current life, and what you’re struggling with. We work together to clarify what you want your intensive session to focus on, and how long your intensive should be.

Step 2: The Intensive Session

This is when we dive in! We start the day with grounding, reviewing our goals for the day, and then we dig in.

Step 3: The Post-Intensive Session

In the post-intensive, we’ll process your experience during the intensive, and what’s been different for you since. We will also game plan your ongoing well-being.
